The Institute is active on two main fronts: research and services for apiculture, according to the objectives stated in its charter and the provisions set forth in the specific plan of intervention for the beekeeping industry issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and approved by the CIPE (Interministerial Committee for Economic Planning) in 1990.
