Storage
of samples by the Laboratory
After tests have been completed, samples are stored in suitable conditions
for at least 3 months so that analytic determinations may be repeated
where necessary. After this time, samples are disposed of unless clients
ask for them to be returned.
Records
of tests performed on samples (test reports, worksheets, etc.) are retained
for at least 10 years.
Presentation
of results
Original copies of the Test Reports are sent by post and, on request,
faxed in advance. At the client’s request, the Laboratory will
also indicate how long it expects it to take for the results to be presented.
Time frames may also be agreed upon in advance. Priority may be given
to analysing a delivered sample where an urgent test has been requested
in writing.
The Laboratory makes sure that clients are promptly informed of any
delays in relation to scheduled or agreed times.
Confidentiality
of data
The data regarding samples tested on behalf of clients are processed
in accordance with the provisions of Italian Legislative Decree no.
196/2003 (personal data protection code) and solely for operational
and statistical purposes. Changes to or erasure of data may be obtained
by written request.
