The "Istituto Nazionale di Apicoltura" (National Institute of Apiculture) was settled in 1938 with the object of promoting and carrying out initiatives that might effectively help to increase, enhance and develop beekeeping and the productions deriving from it.

The "Istituto Nazionale di Apicoltura", which enjoys the backing of the Ministry of Agricultural and Forestry Policies, is a scientific organization with an authoritative role in the regulation of the Italian beekeeping sector. In fact, it conducts research and experimentation in apiculture and offers services in the fields of training, information, analytical control of products and diagnosis of disease.
